Expert Metal Flashing And Trim Manufacturing For Your Property

Our high-quality, North American-sourced and manufactured Galvalume steel flashing and trim will protect your home or business from water damage, debris, and more.

With high-quality flashing and trim, you can improve insulation in your building by preventing drafts from entering through cracks; preventing moisture will also help your insulation last longer and retain its R-value.

At IroSteel, we manufacture custom flashing and trim for homeowners and business owners in Manitoba and beyond. Our flashing and trim will always fit perfectly because they’re manufactured to fit your roof, siding, windows, and/or walls.

Our Metal Flashing And Trim Solutions

Valley Flashing

Arrow

Valley flashing protects areas where two roof sections meet and form a valley. Our flashing directs rainwater away from your roof, preventing water damage.

Gable Trim

Arrow

Gable trim is designed to protect your gable edges, preventing water and air from seeping into the area between your roof and the gable.

Roof Edge Trim

Arrow

Roof edge trim, sometimes called drip edge, directs water away from your roof’s fascia and toward your gutters.

J-Trim

Arrow

Our metal J-trim can be used around windows, doors, and at the edges of metal siding; it’s primarily used to secure the siding and prevent water from seeping in.

Ridge Cap Trim

Arrow

Ridge cap trim is installed at the peak of a pitched roof where the two slopes of the roof meet. This metal trim helps prevent rain, snow, and debris from infiltrating your building.

Why Choose IroSteel For Metal Flashing And Trim

North American Premium Galvalume Steel

We only use premium Galvalume steel manufactured right here in North America. Galvalume is a coating made of zinc, aluminum, and silicone. This coating makes it more resistant to water than traditional galvanized steel. Galvalume steel is also incredibly resistant to temperature fluctuations—and that makes it the perfect choice for buildings in Manitoba.

Custom On-Site Manufacturing

At IroSteel, we manufacture steel building products. When you’ve been to other stores or producers and you can’t find the trims or flashing that you’re looking for, call us. We can manufacture trims and flashing that perfectly meet your needs—and because we’re right here in Manitoba, the work gets done quickly and with lower shipping costs than you’d see if you ordered from out of province.

Frequently Asked Questions About Metal Flashing

What gauge steel should I choose for my flashing project?

Arrow

With steel gauges, the lower the gauge, the thicker the steel. This means higher gauges are typically better for decorative and residential projects, while lower gauges are better for commercial projects and areas that need sturdier flashing or trim. Here at IroSteel, we offer 24, 26, and 29-gauge flashing. Here’s where you might use each:

  • 24-gauge flashing is an excellent choice for valley flashing, as well as commercial ridge caps and roof edge trim.
  • 26-gauge flashing is an excellent choice for residential roof edge trim and ridge cap trim.
  • 29-gauge flashing is a great choice for gable flashing on residential projects and for some J-trim applications.

Do you offer custom colours for metal flashing?

Arrow

We do. Thanks to our in-house manufacturing capabilities, we can manufacture flashing and trim in a wide variety of different colours and textures. This allows us to match your flashing or trim to the colour and aesthetic of your building. Let us know what you’re looking for, and we’ll make it happen.

How long does custom metal flashing installation take?

Arrow

The timeframe for trim or flashing installation varies depending on a number of different factors. Here are a few:

  • Gable trim may take longer to install if the roof is very large or steep.
  • Roof edge trim may take longer to install if there are longer eaves; it must be installed carefully to direct water properly.
  • J-trim typically takes the least time to install.
  • Ridge caps need to be carefully sealed and fastened to prevent them from being lifted by the wind, so they take a little longer to install.
  • Valley flashing typically takes the most time to install.
